How it works

  1. The prize and the fee are locked onchain. One transaction sends the prize Zombie and the Chainlink fee into the raffle contract. The Zombie can only go to a winner, or back to the owner if the giveaway is cancelled before the draw.
  2. One ticket per Zombie. Every Zombies On Base token is a ticket. Its holder at the moment of the draw wins it. The owner wallet's Zombies and the prize itself don't count.
  3. No sign-up, no snapshot file. The contract reads the holders onchain when it draws.
  4. Drawn automatically after the close. A scheduled keeper triggers the draw within a few minutes of the countdown ending, and the prepaid fee pays Chainlink VRF v2.5 for a verifiable random number. Anyone can also press "Draw the winner" at any time after the close.
  5. Picked and paid in one step. When Chainlink's number arrives, the contract picks a random Zombie and sends the prize to its holder in the same transaction, so nobody can react in between.
